Endangered Species in Pakistan

 

Pakistan's biodiversity is under threat due to human activities, leading to the endangerment of many species. Some notable examples include:

·         Indus Dolphin:

This freshwater dolphin is critically endangered, with only a few hundred individuals remaining in the Indus River. Threats include pollution, habitat destruction, and poaching.

·         Marco Polo Sheep:

Found in the high-altitude regions of Pakistan, Marco Polo sheep are facing threats from habitat loss, poaching, and climate change.

·         Houbara Bustard:

This migratory bird is vulnerable to hunting and habitat destruction, particularly in the Cholistan and Thar deserts.
